It has been a privilege to be part of this year’s MasterChef UK Challenge. I’ve always enjoyed the show and its ability to discover some really talented chefs. At the age of 16, I left school and started my culinary career with an apprenticeship at The Mayfair Hotel in London, which got me to where I am today. It’s great to be back here again with MasterChef, giving something back to other new chefs. Sometimes just giving someone an opportunity and a platform to showcase their skills can be all the inspiration they need. Who enjoyed MasterChef UK in Ormer Mayfair last night? We certainly put them to the test. Facing the intense pressure of a professional kitchen is not an easy challenge, especially with such high expectations from diners. All in all, the contestants stepped up to the plate. They are passionate about what they want to do, they are passionate about food and they did an amazing job.
